General Manager, Supply Chain & Distribution in INGLEBURN, New South Wales for sale

Our client, an Australian success story, is a specialist FMCG manufacturer, now part of an international group and growing quickly. They wish to appoint a General Manager, Supply Chain to be responsible for managing Supply Chain Distribution operations and contribute to their plans for growth within Australia. This is an exceptional opportunity for a high performing, self-driven, consummate people manager to take the next step into development and management of a centralised Supply Chain Distribution model to service the companys requirements and growth. The role will focus on the integration of a number of Supply Chain channels across several sites into a single, cohesive service in order to leverage efficiencies and costs. It is anticipated that this will progress into operating as a stand-alone Profit Centre to service the business and other external customers. Activities will range across procurement and import of raw materials, warehousing, transport and distribution. The role reports directly to the CEO with a place in the senior leadership team. The Key Accountabilities of the role Integration of multiple Australian materials sourcing, procurement, supply chain and distribution functions to enable manufacturing operations to meet customer requirements while maintaining competitiveness Leadership, people development and succession planning within supply chain operations to ensure that the quality, capabilities and depth of staff can support business growth objectives and competiveness Development of a separate, stand-alone business and profit centre Business management of a $multi million operating budget
