The Safety and Environment Business Partner isresponsible for developing and promoting a culture of safety and wellbeingacross the Logistics Function in the Pacific region through the creation ofspecific programs, policies and practices. Whilst providing operational support and advice to managers and staff,the Safety andEnvironment Business Partner will also ensure compliance and adherence tocurrent legislation and maintain necessary certifications. Keyresponsibilities will include: – Embed thePacific Zone HSE Strategy in the business - Develop andreview policies and ensure work instructions cover all relevant HSE aspects,which are compliant to relevant legislation. Strives to find new ways ofimproving the work environment - Drive a HSE culture at theplant where staff are committed to safety, and being safe. They work in a safemanor because they want to, not because they’re told to. - Maintains andencourages appropriate communications and cooperation with all internal andexternal stakeholders. - Ensure all staff are trainedand aware of their responsibilities. Contractors and staff working off sitemust also be appropriately trained and competent in their duties. Safetyawareness training and regular safety updates are also to be provided. -Understands and implements company HSE policies and manages individual prioritiesand deliverables within the HSE context. Takes a personal interest (or'actively owns') HSE issues and activities within your area of responsibility -lead by example. You are someone who gets excited by innovation.
